Experts in Specialty Contact Lens Fittings
At Eye Rx, Dr. Teller and Dr. Lobaugh are expert in helping hard-to-fit contact lens patients. As contact lens specialists, we utilize the latest technology to fit patients who have corneal issues such as:
- Dry Eyes
- Giant Papillary Conjunctivitis (GPC)
- Post-Refractive Surgery
A specialty contact lens, called a scleral lens, may be the right solution for you.
A scleral lens is a gas-permeable contact with a large diameter. This lens rests on the white part of the eye (the sclera). The unique design provides a smooth optical surface to correct the irregularities present in the cornea.
Because scleral lenses are designed to arch over the surface of the cornea, they can be more comfortable for a person with keratoconus. These lenses are also designed to be more stable on the eye, with less movement.
Our doctors will provide you with a proper fit and wear schedule. We will also provide the follow-up care that will help to ensure a good outcome and continued good vision.
Patient education is important to us at Eye Rx. Our staff will work to help you understand your options for improving your vision. We take the time to fully understand your specific needs and make sure that you have the information to make the best eye care choice.
