Find Freedom from Frames
As much as we love glasses, sometimes it’s nice to enjoy some frame freedom! If you’re ready to experience a world without borders, the knowledgeable and friendly professionals at Eye Rx are here to help!
Why are contact lens exams necessary? A contact lens exam is different from your comprehensive eye exam. In a contact lens exam, we’ll perform a variety of tests specifically designed to help us understand how contacts will work with your eyes, and help determine which contacts are the best fit for you.
Come on in and let’s talk contacts.
Your Perfect Contact Lenses Are Out There
You may just need some help finding the right contacts for you. At Eye Rx, we know that every eye is unique, which is why we take the time to explore the right contact lenses for you. Here is a peek into our multi-step contact lens appointment process.
Contact Lens Exam
During your exam, we’ll go over your medical history, as well as address any questions or concerns you may have.
Next, we will examine your eyes for any conditions that may prevent you from wearing contact lenses and determine if you would better benefit from specialty contact lenses. We will also determine your contact lens prescription, which is different from your eyeglasses prescription.
Contact Lens Fitting
Contact lenses come in a wide variety of sizes, styles, and shapes. Finding the right match for you is essential to maintain comfortable vision that is clear and stable.
Contact Lens Trial
Once we’ve determined which style and brand of contact lenses will work best for your eyes, we will send you home with a trial pair. The trial phase allows you to ensure that the contacts we have prescribed give you clear vision, are comfortable, and are well suited to your vision and lifestyle needs.
Once you’ve had a chance to test out your trial pair of contact lenses, we’ll meet with you again to ensure that your eyes are adapting well and that you are satisfied. If everything is looking good, we’ll provide you with a copy of your contact lens prescription and order you a supply of contact lenses.
However, if your trial pair of contact lenses are not quite right (they’re uncomfortable, they don’t provide you with clear vision, or they are not working as they should) we will adjust accordingly and try other brands, styles, and powers to help find the right lenses for you.
