Meet the Doctors

​​​​​Dr. Teller earned his doctorate in optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1996 and has been helping local residents see clearly ever since. After graduation, Dr. Teller completed an internship with the Hopewell Valley Eye Associates, as well as several externships with the National Naval Medical Center and Katzen Eye Group.

Dr. Teller and his late business partner Dr. John McTigue felt that the Metropolitan DC area lacked eye care providers that offered both comprehensive eye exams as well as eye assessment and testing services. To meet this need they joined forces, and in 2000, they created Eye Rx and opened our Chevy Chase location.

A proud member of the prestigious National Advisory Eye Council, Dr. Teller works with a team of industry eye care experts to inform and educate the National Eye Institute on the current landscape of vision medicine research and technology.

Dr. Teller continues to serve patients in the DC area and has dedicated his career to providing you and your family with comprehensive and holistic vision care services.

​​​​​Dr. Angeles earned her Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Biology from Villanova University in Pennsylvania and pursued graduate studies at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry and has been practicing in the DC area since 1996. As an independent contractor she helped to open the Refractive Surgery Center at the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) in Bethesda in 2000.

Dr. Angeles has worked in private and chain practices in the area. She has experience in primary care optometry, contact lens fittings, and refractive surgery including PRK, LASIK, and SMILE. She also co-manages in refractive lens exchange (RLE), implantable collamer lens (ICL) and cataract extraction.

In her free time she enjoys traveling, cooking and yoga.

​​​​​Dr. Lobaugh earned his doctorate from the New England College of Optometry in 1997 and has dedicated his career to providing quality eye care services to residents of the Washington-Baltimore area.

Dr. Lobaugh is an affiliate doctor with the top refractive surgeons in the DC metropolitan area, a position that allows him to effectively co-manage a variety of refractive surgeries including LASIK and PRK. He is also certified by the International Association of Board of Examiners in the treatment and management of ocular disease.

In 2015, Dr. Lobaugh joined the Eye Rx team, allowing us to open our second location in Washington. He hopes to continue to serve the residents of the Metropolitan DC area for many more years to come.
